Remarkable

My life would be so different 

If I were not with you.

All is so much clearer 

Due to things you help me do.

Just ‘cause you believe in me,

Though I may be full of doubt,

Is powerful enough 

To make me change my route.

And funny though as it may seem

How opposite we are,

In many ways like dreamers,

We wish upon a star.

I see priorities that once were vague

Appear in different light.

For now the fog has lifted,

Bringing all within plain sight

And how remarkable you are

Despite the obvious sign

You see that I am tarnished

Yet somehow make me shine.

You ease the torment which had plagued

What some would call my soul

And fearlessly with passion,

Attempt to fill the role.

Whatever I have done,

I haven’t yet a clue

But something is remarkable

‘cause I am here with you.
