Searching

I’m sitting here searching for something to say

To bring about meaning to this very day.

I struggle with words and repeat in my mind

Over and over till something I find.

Though often confused, in a whirlwind of thought,

I’ll try to release what so dearly I’ve sought.

Aroused by the feelings that words bring to play

When suddenly there seems so much I can say.

Like flashes of light, there’s much I recall

From the victories won to the times that I fall

To the beauty of life I seek and embrace

Or if by my doing, fall out of grace.
